Hello,
I'm a sysadmin for the Windows Server 2003 system that is hosting FileMaker Server version 10.0.2.206. So I do not know very much about the FileMaker software, beyond certain system requirements (firewall port configuration, etc). There are about 30 tables, with max of 9 FMP clients (I don't have access to all of the client version numbers).
Recently, clients have been calling to say that their connection to the server is "randomly" dropped. It seems to occur when the FMP client is idle for a while. On the server side, in the Event Viewer (and the file C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\Logs\Event.log) I see this message repeated each time a connection is dropped:
Type: Warning
Source: FileMaker Server 10
Event ID: 30
User: N/A
Computer: FMServer
Description: Client "Table_name (clientPCname) [clientIP]" no longer responding; connection closed. (51)
I have seen a few other (unresolved) threads on this forum referencing this error code/description. One of these threads said that there is no known fix. Is this true? Is this still happening for other folks?
